Da would have been 88 today.
It isn’t fair that he missed this era of microcomputing and portable websurfing and all this instant global communication. He built an old S-100 bus system and was an amateur radio operator and light plane pilot way back in the day. Now nobody has a “dial” phone and we all listen to MP3s. He loved his audiophile reel-to-reel Ampex and Garrard turntable in the hand-built hi-fi stereo system that we still have in storage.
This will be a day of distracting ourselves and keeping Mama occupied. As we get older, we’re getting even MORE sensitive . . . if that’s possible.
